FAQs

Wine

What type of wine do you make?
We produce small lots of Chardonnay, Cabernet, Merlot, Pinot, Syrah, Late Harvest Merlot, Zinfandel, and Syrah Rosé.

How much wine do you make?
We produce about 700 cases per year, in total.

Do you grow your own grapes?
No, we work with a handful of well-known local growers to select the best grapes possible each year for our single-varietal, single-vineyard wines. Grapes also come from Cabernet and Pinot Noir vineyards that we manage in the Santa Cruz Mountains.  We use grapes from top Northern California appellations, primarily from American Viticultural Areas (AVAs) in Los Carneros (Napa County), the Santa Cruz Mountains, and Santa Clara Valley.

The hand-selected grape clusters are pressed and processed on site.  Wine is aged in oak barrels in a forest-protected winery building, cooled by the Santa Cruz Mountains morning fog.

Tastings

When are you open for tastings?
We are open for tastings one weekend per month.  Tastings are $5 per person, refundable with purchase.

Where is the winery located?
We are located at 23076 Summit Road in Los Gatos, near Old Santa Cruz Highway in the Santa Cruz Mountains.   Since we are on a shared driveway, we are currently open a couple days per month, typically on the last weekend. Our tastings page contains information about visiting the winery.

How big is the winery?
We are a small family-owned and operated winery.

Do you host weddings or corporate events?
If you have a small group that would like to have your meeting in our facility, let us know.  We have hosted several board meetings for Silicon Valley companies, but  we are not equipped to handle large groups of people.  We suggest that you contact the Santa Cruz Mountains Winegrower’s Association or Seascape Beach Resort in Aptos for larger group events.

Can you accommodate limos?
Our parking area is quite small so we cannot currently accommodate limos.  We suggest that groups contact Santa Cruz Experience as their wine tour vans frequently visit our winery.

Do you give tours?
Our tastings include a brief tour of the facility, as time permits.   Please visit our tastings page for information about visiting our winery.  Tastings are $5 per person, refundable with purchase.

Can you accommodate groups?
A tasting fee of $10 per person, refundable with purchase, applies to groups of eight or more.

Are you a member of any Santa Cruz Mountains wine trails?
Yes, we are a member of The Summit Wineries

Are you a member of the Santa Cruz Mountains Winegrowers Association?
Yes, we are proud to be a member of this organization.

Do you participate in the Santa Cruz Mountains Winegrowers Association Passport Days?
At this time, we do not participate in the Passport Days since we are on a shared driveway and cannot accommodate heavy traffic.  We would love to have you visit us. Please visit our tastings page for information about visiting our winery.
