Villa del Monte Winery is pleased to announce that the 2015 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition has awarded four medals to Villa del Monte wines:

  • Gold Medal: 2012 Pinot Noir Santa Cruz Mountains William Vincent Vineyard ($34/84 cases produced)
  • Silver Medal: 2011 Cabernet Santa Cruz Mountains LindHill Vineyard ($38/116 cases produced)
  • Bronze Medal: 2011 Syrah Santa Clara Valley Pasha Vineyard ($32/74 cases produced)
  • Bronze Medal: 2009 Merlot Carneros Moon Vineyard ($33/337 cases produced)

All four of the winning Villa del Monte wines are single-varietal, single-vineyard wines from small vineyards located within 100 miles of the winery. These award-winning wines are available for purchase now on the Villa del Monte web site or at the winery. Villa del Monte Wine Club members receive substantial discounts on all wine purchases.

Hosted by the San Francisco Chronicle, this is the largest competition of American Wines in the World and is recognized for its San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competitionparticipation by the most distinguished judges in the country. More than 60 judges, including winemakers, sommeliers, wine educators, bloggers, and members of the media, evaluated the wines, which included more than 6.300 entries entered from over 28 states in America.
