Villa del Monte Winery is pleased to announce that the 2013 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition has awarded three medals to Villa del Monte wines:

• 2010 Pinot Noir Santa Cruz Mountains Regan Vineyard ($28/100 cases produced)
• 2009 Merlot Carneros Moon Vineyard ($30/350 cases produced)
• 2008 Merlot Carneros Moon Vineyard  ($30/315 cases produced)

All three of the winning Villa del Monte wines are single-varietal, single vineyard wines.  The two Merlots are from the Moon Vineyard in Los Carneros in Napa.  The Pinot Noir is from the Regan Vineyard in the Corralitos area of the Santa Cruz Mountains.  All three wines are available for purchase now on the Villa del Monte web site or at the winery.  Wine Club members receive substantial discounts on all purchases.

About the 2013 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition
Hosted by the San Francisco Chronicle, this is the largest competition of American Wines in the World and is recognized for its participation by the most distinguished judges in the country.  More than 60 judges, including winemakers, sommeliers, wine educators, bloggers, and members of the media, evaluated the wines, which included more than 500 entries.  Judging for this prestigious wine competition took place from January 8-11, 2013 at the Cloverdale Citrus Fairgrounds in Sonoma County, CA.  For more information, visit www.winejudging.com.
