About Villa del Monte Winery

Villa del Monte Winery is located at 23076 Summit Road  in Los Gatos, CA.  Our award-winning winery is located in the picturesque Santa Cruz Mountains, along the ridge and midway between Los Gatos and Santa Cruz.  We are open for wine tasting one weekend per month and by appointment for large groups. We invite you to learn more about the Villa del Monte Winery wine tasting experience.

Villa del Monte winemakers, John Overstreet and Neil Perrelli, take pride in producing small lots of award-winning wines.  Working with several well-known local growers allows them to select the best grapes possible each year for our single-varietal, single-vineyard wines.

We believe in producing extraordinary single-varietal, single-vineyard wines that reflect the terroir of the vineyards. Our small lots of wine allow us to meticulously control quality, nurturing our fine Villa del Monte wines to perfection at every step in the process.

Grapes and Growers

Villa del Monte Winery works closely with well-known growers from top Northern California appellations, primarily from American Viticultural Areas (AVAs) in the Santa Cruz Mountains, Santa Clara Valley, and Los Carneros (Napa County).  Grapes also come from small family-owned, responsibly-farmed Cabernet and Pinot Noir vineyards that we manage in the Santa Cruz Mountains.

Hand-selected grape clusters are pressed and crushed on site at our winery. Wine is aged in oak barrels in our forest-protected, solar-powered winery building, cooled by the Santa Cruz Mountains morning fog.
